We’re thrilled to announce our acquisition of Sandbanks Vacations, a long-time vacation provider of tours and accommodations in Prince Edward County (PEC)!
Since 2009, Sandbanks has offered two primary services — guided tours and vacation rentals.
On August 1, the Sandbanks property management program was brought under the breathe banner. The tours department will continue operating under the Sandbanks brand to further its established reputation and foothold in The County.
What does this mean for breathe clients?
It’s business as usual — but with the added bonus of a bigger team and extra resources!
We’ll continue to provide the same high-quality service you’ve come to expect from us, but with even more capability to drive guests into your properties and improve their experiences.
If you own a property in PEC:
Sandbanks tours will now offer your property as part of the tour / accommodation packages. Your property will also benefit from our ambitious plans to drive more tourism to the region during the off-season.
If you own a property outside of PEC:
You’ll still benefit from the cross-marketing and increased visibility of and trust in the breathe brand. This directly leads to repeat guests across the portfolio and our other regions.

Humble beginnings, bold visions
Founded in 2016 by three siblings — Scott, Nick, and Rachel Clément — we’ve remained grounded in our roots as a family-owned business.
We’re humbled for the opportunity to grow the breathe portfolio by adding the legacy that Sandbanks has provided to its clients for many years.
When we started seven years ago, we had big ambitions.
We wanted to provide a guest experience that wasn’t limited to just accommodations. And while the Covid-19 pandemic put many of our growth plans on hold, we’re delighted to be back on track in expanding our offerings.
Sandbanks’ reputation has long impressed us with its average 5-star rating across 700+ TripAdvisor reviews for its tours and beloved guides.
So when the previous Sandbanks owner, Richard Barrett, decided to retire, it was a no-brainer to make an offer for the company.
It was a perfect fit given our existing PEC operations, presence, and goals.

Our mission has always been to provide top-tier service to our homeowners and guests.
With this acquisition, you can benefit even more from our management.
Our goal is to build on what Sandbanks has achieved in PEC and replicate this in our other operating regions. To move beyond just accommodations, and offer activities and experiences as part of guest packages.
You’ll gain from our more robust team and combined breathe and Sandbanks suite of tools and resources. As a first step, we have immediate plans to grow our marketing and advertising reach — where we can leverage the established mailing lists and promotional strategies from Sandbanks.
